PAPAKURA.
By direction of the Hospital Board authorities, the three temporary hospitals established in the Public Hall, Methodist Church, and Mrs Watson's boarding-house* are to be closed, fthd the patients accommodated in the public schoel, which is not only regarded as a more efficient building for the purpose, but will enable the whole of the cases to be housed under one roof. Sister Froude, on appointment by the Hospital Board, arrived from Auckland to-day to assume charge as matron. This morning some thirty patients were under hospital treatment, several convalescents having been discharged The Papakura death-roll, including Eatients brought in to the temporary ospitals from the country districts, now stands at ten, Mr A. B. Miller, of Manurewa, having succumbed last Friday,, and Mr Edward Wearing (the N 2. Dairy Association's manager at Hunua), and a two-year-old child, named Qeorge Clark, having died last night.
