MANUREWA.

Mr E. S. Pegler, a member of the Manurewa Town Board, has announced himself as a candidate for the vacancy on the Manukau County Conned, created by the death of Mr Alex. Muir, the member for the Papakura riding. In view of the Manurewa Town Board's agitation for their portion of rates contributed to the County to be spent in that district advantage would accrue by the locality being directly represented on the Council.
