PAPAKURA.
A report of the proceedings of the sitting of the Commission at Papakura to-day relative to the extension of the Town Board's boundaries will appftftr in our noxt issue. Th) N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. anticipate that the erection of their new saleyards at Papakura will be of a sufficiently advanced sta e to permit of the first sale taking place in them on Friday, Sepfe über 20th, on the occasion of the Company's bull fair. It will be remembered that the removal of the ■aleytrds from their present position in th» centre of the township in order hat existing disabilities should be ov rcoxe ani that the appearance of the main street of the township should be improved was part of the policy advocated by Mr Gillespie and his colleagues at the last Town Board election and they have had the satisfaction during their term of office of seeing such carried through although diverge interests were involved and complicated contingencies had to be dealt with.
The electors of Papakura are invited, per advt. in this issue, to vote solidlv for the seven candidates appearii.ij on the progressive ''ticket" for the Town Board election, the chief i ems in their policy being the raisiDg of loans for a water supply and st >rm water drainage schemes and for permanent works on the Great South Road.
