PATUMAHOE.
Everything is now well in' hand for the Red Cross Bazaar to be held in the Patumahoe Hall on Friday and Saturday of next week, and the undertaking promises to be thoroughly successful Owing to the departure of Mr Welsh from the district and the temporary absence of Mr Barton, by whom the organising end secretarial duties were being carried out, Messrs H. M. Cnspe and £. C. Cuff have kindly agreed to act as substitutes. A very strong ladies' committee is energetically working np the various stalls and goods for them are already well secured There are to be plain and fancy stalls, jumble, produce and flower stalls, bran tubs, bch ponds, and all such sections in which young and old can find amusement. Tea rooms are being provided and are in such capable hands as to ensure success. Various vocal and instrumental items have been secured for the evenings and some talented artists will appear from Auckland A surprise packet scheme, under which everyone gets a prize, is " well away " the packets are selling like the proverbial hot cake?. It now only remains for the residents to turn out en masse to show their appreciation of the labours of those who have striven so hard to make tl i iff air a record one for the district.
