DRIED MILK CONTROVERSY
(Published by Arrangement.) August 10, 1918 To Mr W. Goodfellow,
Waikato Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., Hamilton. Dear Sir,—Yours of the Bth is to hand.
I had not any knowledge of Mr. Nathan having made an offer to you. If such were made it would refer to one of the factories which he owns or controls—not to one of the association's factories. The offer which we made was a bona fide one, and could easily be given effect to had you desired to demonstrate the sincerity of your statements As you do not do so, we will leave the producers concerned to draw their own conclusions. Meanwhile we will not confuse the issue by discussing the other irrelevant matters to which your letter refers.
Yours faithfully, H. E. PACEY, Managing Director, New Zealand Dairy Association.
