OTAHUHU.
The Bed Cross shop on the Great South Road is reported to be doing a goodjradebut as the donors of gilts are invariably the same persons it is hoped that those who have not yet contributed any gifts will do so by Wednesday next. 4 well attended Bed Cross euchre party and dance was held in the Public Hall, Otahuhu, on Tuesday evening last Some excellent games were enjoyed For the dance Mrs C. Fraser and Mr Symington provided the music, Mr J. Mclvor acting as M.G.
To-morrow afternoon the Ladies' Patriotic Committee are providing a Bed Cross tea in the Parish Hall and for the evening a special children's programme of games and music is being prepared. This (Friday) evening an outdoor concert will be given from & lorry platform in the main street and on Monday next the Otahuhu Tennis Club are holding a dance. All these events are in aid of the Bed Cross Carnival funds and the public are asked to give their best support to the movement and thus to help the "boys" who have done so much for us. Particulars of the concert held last evening will appear in cur next issue.
