RED CROSS APPEAT,
The Red Cross campaign was opened at Ramarama last Friday night by a Gift Social Evening, promoted and given by Mrs. J. M. West. The admission was by gift or donation. A very handsome mirrored hall rack, donated by Mr. West, was won by Mr. W. Tooman, who very generously gave it back to he disposed of by the Committee as they thought fit. A useful flower pot stand, given by Mr. Smith (a visitor to the district) was secured by Mr. H. Austin, who, like Mr. Tooman, gave, it back to be competed for again at a later date.
