MANUREWA
With Sir Frederick Lang M.P. looking after the interests of the Franklin Electorate in the abence in England of the Prime Minister (the Right Hon. W. F. Massey) Mr E S. Pegler, during Sir Frederick's visit to Manurewa last Wednesday, drew his attention to the urgent need for the provision of a more suitable post office building than the present premises in Station road The sum of £7OO has for some time stood on the Estimates for the erection of a new post office but notwithstanding this and the fact that ground has been donated for the purpose the matter has been left in abeyance. Mr Pegler pointed rut that only one room was provided in the present building for the transaction of all public business and the need for better accommodation was urgent. He hoped that some improvement would be effected to meet the convenience of the public. Sir Frederick, in reply, stated that he recognised the request made was a reasonable one and Would do what he could to bring about some improvement in the direction desired.
