PAPATOETOE

In view of the fact that Mr V. Bouster was the architect and organiser of the erection of the Papatoetoe Methodist Church, which has the distinction of having been built in one day, viz, on the 14th Decernber 1912, special inteiest was shown in the welcome recently given him at Papatoetoe as the newly-appointed Home Misaioner. Mr H. Farniworth presided and addresses of welcome were delivered by Messrs J. 0. Bryant (Circuit Steward), 8. Atkinson (Trustee), W. Firth (representing the Church Choir), Archibald (on behalf of the Flat Bush Ohuroh), H. Christopher (Superintendent of the Papatoetoe Sunday Sohool), F. Sanderson (Toung Men's Bible Class), and Miss E. Farniworth (Young Women's BibleClasa). The Bev. C. Porter, on behalf of the Presbyterian Church, expressed his pleasure at being present to join in the welcome accorded to Mr Boaster. Appropriate music was provided by the choir under the direction of Mr W. Firth (choirmaster) and Mr Souiter gave a selection of hand-bell ringing. After the addresses Mr Souater suitably replied, expressing his appreciation of the good wishes extended towards him. Supper was provided by the ladies and the singing of the Doxology brought a pleasant evening to a close.
