ST. BRIDE'S CHURCH ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of St Bride's Church was held on April 19th, the Vicar, Rev J. C. Fussell, presiding, and a goodly number of church members being present.

The annual report and balance sheet as read was adopted. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to the organist (Mrs A Wright), to the Treasurer (Mr A. E. Wright), to the Auditor (Mr H. E. R. L. Wily), the church decorators and all who had assisted to forward church work during the year. Mr S. E Pilgrim was re appointed Vicar's Warden, Mr T. B. Bailey was elected People's Warden, and the following Vestry was elected, viz., Messrs Middlemas, C. Crispe, S. Kowe, jnr., F. A. Outfield, J. F. Davies, A. E. Wright (Treasurer), J. Garland and A. E. Welsh (Secretary).

Feeling reference was made by the Vicar to the numerous list of names which appears on the Roll of Honour and to the large number who had given their lives for their country. The Wardens were asked to arrange for the additional nam. to be added. This has since bee done and 80 names of local lads ai now showing on the 8011. Mr A. E. Welsh (Curate) ai nounced that he would start a Sui day school on 28th April and h hoped there would be a good must* of pupils. The meeting closed with a vote < thanks to the Chairman. ANZAC DAY A solemn commemoration seme was held in St. Bride's Church j 7.30 on Anzac Day and was we attended. A number of Senu Cadets in uniform, under charge ( Sergt. Harrison, were present. , powerful sermon was preache< special reference being made to th number of lads from this distric who had made the supreme sacrifice The text was taken from Isara ;')2 v. n., "His reward is with Him.' At the close of the service the Dea< March was impressively rendered bj the organist, Mrs A. E. Wright.
