BUCKLAND.

The Buckland Branch of the Women's Patriotic League held a meeting on Thursday, Feb. 28th, Mrs W. V. Davy presiding in the absence of Mrs Wily, the president. There was a fair attendance. The following knitted goods were handed in by Mrs McKean, viz.: Mesdames Driver 10 pairs socks, McKean 13, Harper 7, Ward 2, J. Wylie 2, King, senr., 4, Milroy 2, Johnston 4, Newton 4, Miss Johnston 3; mufflers, Grace Milroy 1 ; cap, Ruby Steele 1, Polly Todd 1. Miss Johnston handed in the following contributions received for January and February for wool, viz: Mesdames Jackson, D R. Hamilton and King 10s each, A. F. Hewitt 93 6d, Peters ss, Davy 2s 6d.
