WELCOME TO SOLDIERS
AT PUKEKOHE There was a crowded attendance at the '■ Welcome Home'' given to returned soldiers at the Masonic Hall, Pukekohe, on Wednesday evening last, the function being creditably organised by the Pukekohe Women'# Patriotic League. The Mayor Mr II G. R. Mason) presided over the gathering, being supported by the guests of tho evening, viz , Lieut .J. McGovern, and Ptes Uimie and E. Elton. Trooper E Bilkey, lately returned from Samoa, was also preseiit The Major, in a thoughtful ad-div.-s, welcomed tiie guests, and in doing so congiaiulated tnem on bohalf of the town that despite their trying experiences' thoy were there in (oui| arativeiy good health.
