PUNI.
A large company was present in the Puui Hall last Monday evening on the occasion of a farewell social held in honour of Ptes Frank Graham and B. McWatt, who are on their final leave. On behalf of the residents of the district Mr W. T. Dazeley presented Pte Graham with a case of pipes and Pte McWatt with a safety razor, wishing both good luck and a safe return. Music for the dance was supplied by Miss Fitness and Master G. Fitness, extras being played by the Misses Fulton and Zinzan, Messrs Howard and Roberts. The duties of M.C's were ably carried out by Messis R. Fulton, S. Lucas, and J. Black. Supper was served by the ladies and the proceedings were altogether of a most enjoyable nature, the advent of the New Tesr being suitably welcomed at the hour of midnight.
