MANGERE.
At the 44th annual meeting of the Auckland Rifle Association, held on the Penrose range on Tuesday and Wednesday last Mr J. 8. Montgomerie (President of the Mangere Rifle Club) headed the list with a score of 29 in the Special Service Match, seven shots at 500 yards. In the President's Match with seven shots each at 300 yds, 500 yds and 600 yds, he scored 84, registering a highest possible at 500 yar 's despite the gusty wind, and in other matches he shot very consistently.
