MB MASSEY'S COMING VISIT LOCAL ARRANGEMENTS The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. W. F Massey) has arranged to visit Patumahoe and Waiuku next Saturday. He wril travel over the new Waiuku branch line fromPaerata to Patumahoe, reaching Patumahoe at noon, and he will subsequently proceed by motor car to Waiuku. Mr Massey is to be met on his arrival at the Patumuhoa. station by the members of the Mauku Railway League and the general public are also requested to assemble at the station in his honour. The opening of the Patumahoe section of the railway will be celebrated by a speech by the Prime Minister and at the close of such proceedings Mr Massey is to be entertained at lunch at the Patumahoe hotel by the League. Members of' the League Committee are requested to attend a meeting to morrow (Wednesday) at 8 p.m in the Hall for the purpose of making the necessary arrangements for the gathering.

A large audience assembled in the Patumahoe Hall on Thursday last on the occasion of an entertainment given by the Gleubiook Musical Society and the excellence of the programme provided demonstrated that Glen brook is indeed fortunate in being able to claim ainong its residents musical arifctes of laie ability. Items were rendered by Mies Brady (dances), the Misses Hunt (vocal duet), Miss Algie(jianofoite fco.'o), Mist- Ooolse (humorous discourse), Miss Wood (song).
