DRURY

We understand that the Railway Department have definitely refused to consent to the central railway station, now in course of construction, being the site of or housing the new post office which is to be provided by the Postal Department to serve the whole of the district. It will be remembered that at a conference held a little time ago between the Chief Postmaster and settlers it was agreed to make application to the Railway Department in the way indicated but as the request has been rejected a further choice of Bite for the post office will now have to be made.
