BOMBAY

Oil Friday evening, November Otli, a farewell social was held in the Bombay hall in honour of Ptes. Flay and Christy, who were home on final leave. Mr W. H. Thomas presided and, on behalf of the company present, handed a set of military brushes to each of the soldiers, both of whom acknowledged the gifts in suitable words. Dancing was carried on with /est, music being supplied by Messrs J. T. Donovan and D. Blake, whilst Mr Geo. Carter proved an efficient M.C. The secretarial arrangements for the gathering were ably discharged by Mr A. Sawyer.
