STOCK SALE REPORTS.
The NZ. Loar and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., report as follows : At Pukekohe on Monday 12th, we held the final special dairy sale of the season—hereafter dairy cowl will be sold at the usual Tuesday'» sale. There was a fair yarding ineluding some choice springing heifers which sold up to £l7 2s 6d. We quote . Best dairy cows and heifers £l4 to £l7 28 6d, second class ditto. £l2 5s to £l3 17s Gd. others £9 10s to £l2. A good number of bulls were yarded making 7gns. to Bgns according to quality. On the following Tuesday considerably more than the advertised number came forward, every pen and yard and even the races being utilised, the yarding being a record one. Buyers were in large attendance from the Waikato and the surrounding districts, and we report a good clean sale at late rates, with competition a little keener for grown cattle in forward condition. These were an especially good lot, particularly tho Wairamarama bullocks which sold up to £l7, this price being realised by the tops of the Ngapuke estate cattle; the whole line of 10 averaged £l6 ss. A well-for-waid pen from Mr Kenneth Kelsey made £lO while 40 from Mr F. W. Rutherford aveiaged £l6 4s Gd, 2J to 3yr steers from the North £l3 ss, 100 to 3Ayear steers from the Noith £l4 2s, yearling to 18-month steers £7 5s to £9 17s Gd, ditto heifers £5 15s to £8 12s Gd, empty cows and heifers £7 5s to £9 15s, this season's calves £2 5s to £4 10s. Beef sold at fully Westtield prices.
