FANCY I >BESS BALL There was a crowded attendance at the fancy dress hall held at Richardson's Picture Hall on Tuesday last as the final of the Assembly dances for the season. Messrs Phillips and Tuely carried out the dutii s of M.C.'s satisfactorily and the mu*ic was supplied by Mrs Whitford aud Miss Barker. The fancy dresses were the subject of a good deal of favourable comment and the prize winners, decided by popular vot<\ were Ladies : Miss Lacassio France). Men : Messrs W. Sutherland (lady), If. Lloyd (jockey), and Lacassio (boundary rider), bracketed etjual. Others in fancy costume were : Men : Messrs McGreaehen, clown ; Phillips, bookmaker ; Bond, Pierrot; Tuely, cricketer; Lupton, cricketer : and A. Sutherland, bandsman Lidies: Mesdanies Woodbouse, Allies; Robertson, Night ; Montague, Britannia; and Misses Kerr, Dutch Bag; Kitching, Dutch Girl; Diuce, Dutch Girl; W.iddell, Rniriation ; Lacassio, France; Bates, O.shorne and Bradbury, Bed Cross Nurses; Clarke, witch; Qutchinson and McKonzie, Colleen Bawn; Martin, Spanish Girl ; Lupton, Spanish dancing girl; llanison, Sturgeon and Coirigan, Belgium ; K Wilson and Jukes, lolly; .1.
