TUAKAU.

In connection with the Women's Patriotic League a very enjoyable afternoon was held on Wednesday last when a Red Cross tea was provided. Mrs Hudson-Williamson spoke on behalf of the Red Cross fund and was listened to with great attention. Songs were rendered by Mesdames Hunter, F. Lawson, the Misses M. Mayall and E. Foulkes, and a recitation by Mrs HudsonWilliamson, all of which were much appreciated. Tea was provided by members and a collection taken amounted to £7 16s 4d. Thanks are due to Misses E Smeed and B. i Lewis for the arrangements made , for the hall and tea table. The j League especially wish to thank all those who were unable to attend but I sent cont ibutions. '
