Papakura Sale Yards.
| To the Editor] Sir—Tour correspondent "Ratepayer" is no doubt a member of the Progressive Party, whose trumpeter seems to have died. He states that the party in power are more capable of managing the affairs of this district than unfortunate rejects. lam doubtful. Sir, if "Ratepayer" was in this district long enough before the last election to have much idoa what the preceding Boards had promised. As to the suggestion that it is looked on as a joke that reforms being carried out by the present Board were promised by other Boards, I am afraid that there are less than seven in the joke and the ratepayers think the joke is too costly. As to the being 'mud stingers,' I am afraid if they slung much mud sat that' massive building just behind the engineered by the present Board and used for storing implements, etc., it might look a dirty business. In regard to the Association having anything to do with the sale yards question, the Trustees of rhe property fixed that themselves and we are informed' that the client that wished to monoplise the ground has left the district.—l am, etc., ARTHUR WALLIS PapaknJa, 12/9/17.
