The Rev J. R. Burgin, Chaplain to the New Zealand forces, who was through the Battle of the Somme, will deliver a lecture on the war in St George's Hall on Wedteiday next In* furtherance of the proposal to form a band in connection with the Boy Scouts a public meeting has been called for Monday evening next in St John's hall. District Commander Bickford will deliver an address on the aims and objects of the Scout movement and during the evening musical and vocal items will be rendered by local and outside artists. A very pleasant afternoon was 2ent on the Tennis Courts yestery (Thursday) afternoon when the members of the Club, together with their friends, gathered to say au revoir to Messrs B. Watson, A. Percy, and P. Wyllie, who £receed to camp in a few days' time. The weather was alt that could be desired and the courts were in good trim. Several good games were played and afternoon tea wan partaken of by the large company present.
