The record of rainfall as registered at Belle Vue, Victoria Avenue, Waiuku, during August was : Rain fell on 21 days, the fall varying from .01 to .95 inches. The total for the month was 4.97 inches. During August of 1915 and 1916 a fall of 4.32 and 9.18 inches respectively was registered.
