The names are : F. Donovan killed), L. Adams ed', W. Best prisoner of war), P. Gill, R. Taylor, C. Knapping, E. Rowe, J. Patton, W. Jame-un, J. McCullough, J. Richardson, W. Sheppherd, J. Irvine, T. Gallagher, W. Corin, B. Farrelly, G. Rodgers, 0. Bennett, A. Waddell, 11. Logan, A. Collins. I?. Holland, 11. Thornton, R. Brown, am! Arthur Eustage. Further names will lie added as time progresses. There is every indication that a largo audience will be present at the grand patriotic concert and dance on Tuesdav next in the Otahuhu Public Hall. A first-class musical programme will be provided, and during the evening presentations will be made to bandsmen leaving for the front. The function is being promoted by the Otahuhu Municipal Band and will form the first farewell of essentially a public nature held in Otahuhu in connection with the war. As half the proceeds of the gathering are to bo devoted to tho Otahuhu Patriotic Committee and tho remainder to the Band, tho object is a woithy one and deserves every support. Mr Henry Thornton, who is duo to shortly enter camp, has this week sustained tho loss of his infant daughter, who died a few days after her birth. General sympathy is extended to Mr and Mrs Thornton in their sad bereavement. Tho New Town Clork (Mr W. J. Dinnison) has now taken up his residence in Otahuhu and has commenced duty.
