BOMBAY.
Apublic meetingwasheld intheßombay hall last week to consider questions of appointing a permanent committee to deal with the matter of welcoming returning soldiors. After a lengthy discussion no action was taken and it was finally decided to adjourn the meeting. Subsequently a number of the friends of Mr Percy Balrne, returned soldier, met and resolved to form themselves into a committee to make arrangements to suitably welcome him.
