BACK FROM THE FRONT.
Among the party of invalided soldiers wbo arrived back in Aucklatjd on Wednesday last were the following : P C. Balme (Bombay) ; K J. Dell (nephew of Mr H. Dell, Pukekoho) ; K. Fitzwilliam (Manurewa) ; G S. ' Flavell (Waiuku) ; J Forrest (Papatoetoo) ; N. B. Galloway (Papatoetoe), C. Harding (Pukekohe); G Harrison (Otahuhu); W. B. Marshall (Buckland') ; G. S. Mullou (Mange e); A Murray (Otahuhu); H. M. Smith (Pukekohe); F. Sherry (Papatoetoe) ; and T. G Woods (Pukekohe) Rifleman T. G. Woods, included in the above list, is the sou of Mr T J. Wo>ds, a member of the Franklin County Council, and it will be remembered that some time ago he was reported by the authorities as having been killed in action and that it was only after a letter from him bearing a date subsequent to that of his supposed death had been received by his parents that the erroneous announcement was rectified by the Defence Department. Rifleman Woods was, however, subsequently wounded.
