MERCER

TONVN BOARD MEETING At the last monthly meeting of the Mercer Town Board there were present Messrs G. Morgon (chairman), n. Gallery, Gillibrand, A. H. Gla«, with the Clerk (Mr C. H. Norris i. uuarry reserve An offer was received from the Mercer Domain Board to rent the quarry reserve on certain terms provided "the Town Board fixed a sheep fence and suitable gates and locks The Board, after considering the same, decided that the offer could not be entertained as the improvements desired would not be commensurate with the income to be received. A verbal tender was submitted from another person which, if put into writing, was likely to be accepted as it contained no unreasonable restrictions. METAI. The Cluk reported that the Railway Department would deliver three trucks of metal as soon as possible and orders had been given to the Franklin County Council for the delivery of three truck loads from the local quarry. OUTSTANDING RATES. The Clerk was instructed to hand over all outstanding rates to the Board's solicitor for collection. RESIGNATION' OK CLERK A letter was read from the Cleik (Mr C. 11. Norris) resigning his position and the same was accepted.
