MANUREWA

FAREWELL PRESENTATIONS. A representative gathering of suppliers of the Manurewa Creamery took place last Friday morning at the creamery, to say good-bye to Mr Henry Osborne, the manager of tiie New Zealand Dairy Association's Creamery, who has been transferred to the management of the Hora Hora Creamery. • 13 Mr 0. H. Lupton, in a neat and appropriate speech, referred to Mr Osborne's seven years' sei/ice, during which he had carried out ihis duties with unfailing courtesy to the ontiro satisfaction of tho suppliers, It was, he said, with extreme regret that they were losing Mr Osborne, but he trusted that the change would bo to his benefit and that good-luck and prosperity would be his. Mr H. Ralls then presented Mr Osborne, on behalf of the suppliers, with a cheque as a mark of goodwill and fellowship that existed between Mr Osborne and the suppliers. Mr Osborne, in reply, stated that lie had tried to do the best he could and ho much appreciated the fact that his efforts seemed to have been appreciated. On Friday evening at the Tennis Club's annual ball, held in the Public Hall, a presentation was made of a silver teapot, by the members of the Manurewa Tennis Club to Mr and Mrs Osborne. Mr Chris. Lupton made the presentation on behalf of the members of the Club and spoke of the good service rendered by Mr Osborne to the Club since its commencement, both in secretarial work and as a member of the Committee. Mr Osborne suitably responded.
