Messrs Alfrel Bucklandand Sons, Ltd., report : On Wednesday 18th, at our weekly Westfield fat stock maiket wo so!! beef to the number of 180 head, comprising S(i steers, 8!) cows and heifers, and 5 bulls. These nunibors represented considerably less than an average yaiding, the boisterous weather which has prevailed lately having something to do with the small entry. There was a keen demand, with a further advance in vahns. Choice ox sold to £J 12s, prime L'2 Ss lid to £2 lis ; r ugh and plain beef, £1 18s to £2 os ; cows and heifers, £2 ~>s to £2 Vs.
