EXPORT OF DAIRY PRODUCE
In connection with the letter sent to the Prime Minister (the Rt Hon W. F. Massey, M.P ) by Mr Joseph Henry who presided at the recent meeting of dairy suppliers held at Patumahoe, the following reply has been received by Mr Henry from Mr Massey, viz: " I am in receipt of your letter of the 9th instant, forwarding copy of a resolution passed by the milk and cream producers of the Mauku district in regard t<» storage and shipping space for butter. Since ray return to the Dominion I have been in communication with the shipping authorities at Home, urging them to provide shipping space to relieve the congestion in the butter stores A few days ago I was advised that space would be provided for upwards of .")(), 000 boxes of butter in ships leaving during July and August Portion of this space will be available to relieve the congestion in Auckland. I quite expect that this will relieve the freezing stores to such an extent that the new season's production will bo able to proceed without hindrance."
