PATUMAHOE

At the Pukekohe Police Court yesterday C. Olsen, farmer, of Patumahoe, was summoned for having assaulted Mr Joseph Henry at Patumahoe on the 7th inst. Defendant said he had no recollection of the affair but he expected he was guilty. Sergeant Cowan explained that at a recent Court Mr Henry secured a judgment against the defendant and since then the defendant had had "a set " against Mr Henry. On the day ia question defendant met Mr Henry and attempted to pull him out of his motorcar, inviting him to have "a go " on the road. The Sergeant asked that the defendant shuild be prohibited as he had been imbibing too freely of late. The defendant was fined 10s and was also prohibited
