MANUREWA

A very enjoyable gatheiing wa< held in the Manurewa Public Hall on Wednesday, July 4th, in the shape of a progressive euchre party and dance. Mrs Biimmea 4 , the organiser of the function, is to be congratulated on the success of her enterprise, which re-ulted in a net return of iG, which sum has been handed over l> the Victoria League for Red Cross purposps. Mrs Miles won the ladies' prize and Mr Landon won the men's, Mr C Lupton securing the booby prize. A dainty supper was provided bv Mrs Brimsmead, and altogether the evening was a most pleasant one. Messrs T. J Corin and W. Phillips acted as managers most efficiently.
