FARMERS' UNION MEETING Tlio monthly meeting of the Clevedon Branch of the Farmers' Union was held in the Committee Room of the Public Hall, on the evoning of Saturday, July 7th. The members present wore Messrs C. A. Fawcett (President), A. I). 8011, 11. J. Bull, J. Luke, 0. C. Miuiro, F. Stephens, and J. A. Gundy (Secretary). The following woro olected members nf the Branch : Messrs P. W. McCalluni, R. F. Bull, Jas White, and G. Blank.

The Provincial Secretary wrote delining the duties of the Local Appeals Committees, and it was resolved to send copies of this letter to the members appointed as the Committeo.

The following letters, etc,, from the Provincial Otfice woro 'received': Re daggy sheep being sent in for slaughter, 10 Government supplying I'uireM trees; a list of local members of the Trailing <'<» , and a copy of the Provincial Balance sheet and of the l'ri sideni's annual report. A resolution was carried unanimously to the ollect that ''This Branch ask the Clovudon A. and P. Society to accept a donation of a challenge cup, valued £5 ss, to replace the dairy cup won outright at last year's show the cup to be known as the 'Clovedon Farmer*' Union Cup"'
