BUCKLAND.
On the 9th inst. a return visit by the Pukekohe Christian Endeavour Society was made to the Buckland Young People's Guild, when a vory enjoyable evening was spent with songs, recitations and games. Last Wednesday evening a farewell social was tendered to Gunners "Wilcox and Sweet, who wore home on final leave. Mr A. P. llorno presided and the following contributed items, viz, Misses Pulman, Sweet, Bagnall and Messrs Johnston and Spoarpoint. Speeches were delivered by Messrs Home, Piggott and Wily. After supper had been handed round, dancing ,was indulged in, music being supplied by Mrs Keane. Gunner A. Potter was farewelled on Friday evening. Mr E Allan was in the chair and a very enjoyable evening was spent with speeches, songs, etc. Mrs 11. 11. D. Wily presented parcels on behalf of the Buckland Branch of the Patriotic League.
