A pleasant social and welcome was held by the Presbyteiians on Friday last, wbon occasion was taken to meet the newly appointed Minister, the Rev Hales sent were the Revs Porter and Patullo, Messrs E 1). McLennan, J. Flanagan, and other local Church ; members. The Rev Poiter, Motier- j ator, presided. Those who contri- [ buted to the musical programme j were Miss Galloway, Mrs McCul- j lough and Mr Gee (songs); the i Misses Morrison, piano; Mr Wilson, j c irnet. Suitable addresses of wel- : c )me to the new Pastor were de- | livered hy Messrs E. I). McLennan and J. Flanagan, and by the Revs j Porter and Patullo and tlio Rev Hales .-übsequently delivered an in 1 spirited address. Supper was pro- I vided and served by the ladies of the j congregation.
