MANUKAU HEADS.

On Friday night last a most fnjoyable Band of Hope social was held in the school and in spite of the bad weather and roads the building was packed to overflowing. The ohildren helped by giving songs, recitations and musical items. The most appreciated item was a song by Master G Howe called " One of the Toys " and when encored he sang " Juinata." Miss M. Turner and M. Howe also delighted the audience with a duet and a capital recitation was given by Miss A. Clark entitled " The Baby." After the children's concert the choir rendered a song and with Miss E. Brownlee and Miss E. Morrison presiding at the organ a very pleasant evening was spent and resulted in a large sum being handed over to the fund.
