A competi'ion hus been started by the members, each one re ceiving a half crown to make a start in any line of speculation, for a period of ihree months. When the competition closes the one who has laid out her talent to the best payable advantage is to receive the prize. Many and vaiiel aie the schemes inaugurate! ; and it is to be hoped the League w 11 be materially assiited.
