THE NAVY LEAGUE.
A BRANCH FOR FRANKLIN Arrangements are being made by the Executive of the Navy League in Auckland for the formation of a branch of the League for the County of Franklin. Already nearly forty members have been enrolled, and it is intended when the number has been somewhat increased to call them together and formally launch the branch. Officers will then be appointed, and it has been arranged that a seat upon the Auckland Exf cutive shall be allotted to a representative o' the League. Present indications appear to show that the Franklin Branch will become a large and flourishing institution at an early da+e, the farmers generally heartily recognising their indebtedness to the Navy and the va'ue of the League as an educative factor.
