BUCKLAND.
A well attended meeting of the Buckland Branch of the Farmers' Union was hold in the Hall on Saturday last A grant was voted from the Union Funds for the Y.M.C.A. War Fund and the Secretary was authorised to collect further subscriptions from membf ra for the same purpose.
The chief business was the consideration of the remits for the forthcoming conference, and a most interesting debate took place over many of them, especially those relating to war measures.
Mr A. Gummer was appointed delegate to the conference.
Two new members were elected
It was proposed to run the creamery only half-time this week, but owing to the large supply still coming in, it was decided to run full time a little while longer
