PUKEKOHE ANGLICAN CHURCH.

The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Andrew's Church, Pukekohe, was hell last Thursday evening in the Oddfellows' Hall, the Vicar (the Rev J. P. Cowie) presiding.

In a report on ihe year's work the Yicar stated it had not yet been found possible to fix a central place for the holding of services in the northern end of the parish (Paerata district; but he hoped to commence regular services at Puni when the Hall there was available. Ihe Yicar expressed appreciation of the duties performed by Mr H. G. E. Mason in regard to the secretaryship of the envelope system and also of the work of the Pose Show Committee in arranging such a successful exhibition, no also tendered his thanks to the Lay Readers (Messrs J. B. Brown, H. G. R. Mason and A. Gummor), to the Sunday School toachors, and to the Ladies Guild, &c.

The Warden's report as read l>y Mr A. F. Brown, stated that the financial position was considerably more satisfactory than a year previously as although tho Bank overdraft was £27 greater old accounts to tho extent of £f>2 had been paid off in addition to some non-recurring items. The improvement was due to tho adoption of the envelope system and the Flower Show receipts. Tho offerings showed an increase of £.50. For tlte first time the Vestry would start the year with a clean slate, all liabilities having been discharged. The following officers were appointed : Vicar's Warden, Mr R. Bilkey ; People's Warden, Mr A. F. Brown ; Auditor, Mr H. Bockett; Vestry, N. F. Barker, G. Haslam, H. J. Rollinson, W. H. Fausett, and A. P. Day. At the social portion of the evening items were rendered by Master F. Payne and Miss Muriel Lysnar (pianoforte solos); Miss M. Moore and Master Payne (pianoforte duet); Misses I. Duncan, M. Moore and Master F. Payne (pianoforte trio); Misses I. Duncan and M. Woods (piano and violin); Misse3 Alice Lysnar, Phyllis Lysnar, L. Cave, R. Wake, Grace Lysnar, and Master Jack Cowie (recitations). Refreshments were provided by lady members of the Church.
