BUCKLAND.
The celebra'ion of Anzac Day in Buckland took the form, on Wednesday, of a memorial service which was held in the hall and conducted by the combined churches. Mr E. Allan was in the chair and in the course of his remarks made special reference to the late Sergeant Arthur Delaney and Troopar J. Begbie, who wore killed in actiou since last Anzac Day. Messrs A. Glimmer and 0. G. Avery road the lessons, and the R«v. S. Nixon gave a very impressive address, which was listened to with great interest by the large audience present. After the singing of the National Anthem,°the chairman read out the names of the local men who had made the supreme sacrifice, and the organist (Miss Allan) theu played the Dead March.
