HART—REYNOLDB.

A quiet hut prettv weddiDg was celebrated on Tuesday, April 3rd, at the residence of the bride's mother at Puni, when .Air. J. A. J. Hart, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Hart, of Pukekohe, was united in the bonds of matrimrmy to Miss Hazel Reynolds, youngest daughter of Mrs. M. A. Reynolds and the late Mr. W. H. Reynolds, of Puni, Pukekohe. The Rev. 8. Nixon officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her brother. Mr. Henry Reynolds, was charmingly attired in a dress of creme merv. silk with silk overlace trimmings. with tlie customary veil and orange blossoms. Miss Belle Howard and Miss Gladys Reynolds, nieces of the bride, who acted as bridesmaids, were daintily attired in white embroidered voilo. All three carried lovely bouquets of maidenhair, asparagus and white dahlias, which were given by the Rev. S. Nixon. The bridegroom's •rift to the bride was a silver-mounted brush and comb, and to the bridesmaids gold brooches. Mr. Archie Barbae acted as best man, while Mr. Leslie Hart, brother of the bridegroom. acted as croomsman.

Subsequent to the ceremony the guests sal down to a dainty wedding breakfast. The usual toasts having been honoured, the happy couple departed for Auckland. The presents, which were many and valuable, included several cheques and sums of money.

CLEVEDON. WAIROA ROAD BOARD. At the monthly meeting of the Waiiuh Road Board, held on Monday of last week, Messrs. J. Luke, J. McCoiiaughy, H. Walsh, Wm. Duder, and the clerk (A. E. Bailey) were present. In the absence of the chairman. .Mr J. Luke was voted to the chair.

Dog Registration,

Complaints were received of persons having unregistered dogs in their possession, the excuse being tendered that they were not owners of the animals.

Mr. Wal.-li proposed, and Mr. McC'onaughy seconded. that all persons in the Wairoa Road District who had docs in their possession, whether owners of them or not, should be summoned if they do not register the dogs.—Carried Clevedon to Hunua River Road.

The clerk stated that an inspector of the Public Works Department had called on him, and they had inspected the damages done to the road and the bridge bv flood waters. A letter was received from the district engineer of the Public Works Department, who had sent on the inspector's report to Wellington, but he gave no hope of the department reconstructing the bridge during war conditions.

Otau Village Sections.

A letter was received from the De-puty-Public Trustee, stating that he was liiakiii'.' enquiries a? to whether a survey was necessary to bring the land under the Land Transfer Act, (lie cost of survey if necessary, the cost of bringinir land under the Land Transfer Act, including Crown grants fees, eustodv fees. etc.

Subdivision of Land.

Mr Burnside. of Ardinore, waited upon ilte board with a plan of proposed road through Mr. TT. Burnside's property from Rum-ides Road to Taki11iiii Road, as Mr. Burnside was euttiivi up his property into farms. Mr. Walsh proposed, and Mr. Duder seconded, that the plan of the road should be approved of subject to the provisions of the Public Works Act; als. , if Mr. Burnside desired the portion of old road at one end of the estate to be closed in exchange for portion of propose,] road, the same to approved of bv the bo>ird if neces--:irv --Carrie.) North Road

It was revived that Messrs MeCall.iin Bros, be mpiested to send 150

yards shingle for this road also to put in an 18-inch concrete culvert. The board, at the request of Mr. Wm. T. Bell, decided to lower the culvert crossing the road opposite Mr. Bell's property, Mr. Bell to pay for the same.

Mataitai Road.

It was resolved to send two aets nine-inch pipes to be put in on this lvad also to get the pile-driver down and replace the Waitemata Bridge.

Parish Line Road

As the board could not get on with the formation of this road, it was resolved to send notices to property owners on this road to clear the noxious weeds on their frontages Annual Meeting.

It was resolved to hold the annual meeting of ratepayers in the Public Hail, Glevedon, on Saturday, May 5, at 2.30 p.m.
