A well-attended meeting was held in the Parish Ila'l on Friday night to establish, a Ratepayers' Association, Mr I). P.. .Stewart, who convened the meeting-, presiding. After some discussion the Association was formed its chief object being to protect the interests of ratepayers and to suggest improvements for the betterment of the township generally. Mr- D. W. Jones, who was unavoidably absent, was appointed President, Mr R. W. Mears Secretary and Treisurer, together with tin executive fis pul iu-s : Messrs J). 15. Stewait, E 8. Colo, J. Rates, A. Willis and S P.vans.
