PUKEKOHE METHODIST CHARGE.

On Tuesday last the Rev. J. B. Suckling, who for the past twelve months had officiated as Superintendent of the Pukekohe Methodist Circuit, left to assume charge of his new circuit at Caveraham, Dunedin. On the previous Wednesday evening a Circuit Farewell was tendered to him and Mrs Suckling and to Mr and Mrs F. Souster, who are also leaving the district very shortly for New Plymouth where Mr Souster will for a period be engaged in the seivice of the Church.

The Senior Circuit Steward presided and with other speakers referred in appreciative terms to the excellent and whole hearted character of the work both gentlemen had done.

In replying, Mr Suckling expressed his regret that he and Mrs Suckling were to leave Pukekohe so soon. They had, he said, been exceedingly happy in their work and home and would look forward to the time when the law of conference would permit of them accepting an invitation to return. Mr Souster also suitably replied. During the evening Mr 0 G. Avery (the newly-appointed Junior Circuit Steward) asked Mr Suckling's acceptance of an enlarged framed photograph of the members of the March Quarter Board. A similar photo is also being completed for Mr Souster's acceptance. The newly-appointed Minister, the Rev. J. F. Martin and Mrs Martin, arrived from jOhoka, Canterbury, on Wednesday last, and the rev. gentleman conducted the morning and evening services in connection with the Anniversary of the Bunday School, on Sunday the 15th inst. Eloquent and practical sermons weie delivered to large aggregations at both services. The afternoon meeting was conducted by Capt. Elford, who delivered a very interesting and inspiring'adlress. The singipg of the children, who were ably conducted by Mr C. EL Mee, was bright and hearty.
