FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL TENDERS will be received by the Franklin County Council up to 12 Noon on Friday, the 20th April, 1917, for the following contracts: CONTRACT No. 228- For forming 20 chains of Beloe's road, PukeCONTRACT No. 229-For excavating drain, clearing and forming poition of Happy Valley to Hunua road. Adjusting Representation in the Council. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Franklin County Council, held on Thursday, the Ist day of March, 1917, a resolution was passed in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on the Council by Section 23 of the Counties Act, 1908, revoking the present division of the County of Franklin into eight Ridings and in lieu thereof dividing the said County into nine Ridings to be called respectively Awhitu Riding, Waipipi Riding, Waiuku Riding, Mauku Riding, Pukekohe West Riding, ■ Pukekohe Eist Riding, Mercer Rid-I ing, Drury Riding and Hunua Riding and providing that the said Franklin County Council shall ionfist of nine members and that each Riding shall elect one Councillor, the alterations proposed to take effect on and after the 23rd day of October, 1917, and such resolution will be submitted for confirmation, as a Special Order, at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Thursday, the 3rd day of May, 1917, at the Council Chamber?, Hall street, Pukekohe. A copy of the proposed Special Order and a map showing the new riding boundaries is deposited at the Office of the Council and will be open to the inspection of the public during office hours from the 11th day of April, 1917, until the 2nd day of May, 1917.
