FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Franklin County Council held on Thursday, the Ist day of March, 1917, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on THURSDAY, the sth day of April, 1917, at 9.30 a.m , at the Council Chambers, Hall street, Pukekohe. RESOLUTION In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 104 of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Franklin County Couocil hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: " That the Roads described in the " Schedule hereto, being district " Roads in the Karaka Road District be declared County Roads " as from sth April, 1917. SCHEDULE

1. All that District Road in the Karaka Road District commencing at the southern end of the Hingaia Bridge abutting on Lot 13A of Karaka Estate and continuing in a south-westerly direction generally, across the Whangamaire Creek thence to its intersection with the Karaka-Waiau Pa Road. 2. All that District Road in the Karaka Road District .known as the new Karaka - Paerata - Pukekohe Road, commencing at the WaiukuDrury Roal near Haliday's and continuing in a southerly direction generally, to the Paerata Station, and from the Paerata Station on to the boundary of Karaka Road District and Pukekohe Riding. RESOLUTION. In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 16 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Moumoukai special rating area in Franklin County, testified by a petition signed by not less than threetourths of the ratepayers in the said Moumoukai special rating area, the capital values of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of the said county is collectively greater than the the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not so consent, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, as follows :—For the purpose of the survey, legislation, formation and metalling of the road known as PaparimuMaungatawhiri road through sections 33, 71, 64, and 65a Otau parish, the Franklin County Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500) at per centum per annum for a period of 36% years, and declares that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year's interest on the loan shall be payable out of the moneys so raised. MOUMOUKAI SPECIAL RATING AREA.

All that area in the parish of Otau, Opaheke Survey District, bounded commencing at the northwestern corner of section 97, thence in an easterly direction generally along the north-eastern boundaries of said section 97, section 97a and the northern and north western boundaries of sections 100 a and 100 to the easternmost corner of section 100, thence in a southerly direction generally along the eastern bounnaries of said section 100, sections 101, 102, 103, 55, 57, 58, 59, 61, and 108 to the south eastern corner of said section 108, thence in a westerly direction along f he southern boundary of said section 108 to the south western cor. ner of :-aid section 108 and from that point proceeding in a northerly direction generally along the western boundaries of said section 108, sections 62, I 63, and 64 the western, southern, south-eastern and north-western boundaries of section 65a, western and northern boundaries of section 99, north-western boundary of section 7, part of northwestern boundary of section 6, and along the southern and western boundaries of section 97 aforesaid, to the point of commencement.
