PAPAKURA.

A meeting of the Sports Committee was held last Saturday evening. Mr M. Dempsey presiding, a letter was read from the Ellerslie Town Band offertng their services at the sports on Easter Monday provided their expenses were paid and it was unanimously resolved to accept their offer.—Mr John Thomas rarnell wrote offering to donate a silver medal to the winner in the Highland Fling dance for girls under 9 years if the Committee would provide such an event and the offer was gratefully accepted. It was also decided to provide a Highland Fling dance for boys and two additional sword dancing events. The secretary (Mr L. J. Mills) reported that all the arrangements were well in hand and that there was every indication of a successful gathering, given tine weather.
