WAERENGA.

The appeal was heard at the sitting of the Military Board at Hamilton last Friday of AVilliam A. Jefferies, farmer, Waerenga, who stated that he was working a stock farm of 1840 acres. He had one brother in camp, and another was farming in Australia, having been rejected by the Military Authorities. His father, who was 70 years of age was looking after the farm of the son now in camp. He was anxious to go to the Front. Applicant's father gave evidence that the whole of the work on the Waerenga property was dependent upon appellant. The Board stated that in the public interest they hesitated about sending appellant to the front. They therefore adjourned the appeal sine die pending a report from the Efficiency Board.
