PAPATOETOE

[The Papatoetoe Agent for the " Pukekohe Times " is Mr W. J. Dilworth from whom copies of the paper may be obtained.] The gasometer in course of erection at Papatoetoe by the Auckland Gas Company for the local supply of gas is almost completed but owing to the non-arrival, consequent on the war, of the material to finish the structure it will not bs in working order for some time. The supply of gas will accordingly still be dependent on Otahuhu in the meantime. The tunnel and culvert on Kolmar Road put in by the Manukau County Council are now completed and a very old trouble has accordingly been remedied.

A full report of Eed Cross Day at Papatoetoe last Saturday will appear in our next as also reports of several other events of local interest.
