MANUREWA.

Gigantic preparations are being ni.de for the Manurewa Outdoor Fete to be held in Mr Aspden's paddock on Saturday of next week, March 3rd. The fete, which is arranged under the auspices of the Manurewa Victoria League, pro* raises to be a popular event for all classes of the community. In addition to a Flower, Fruit and Vegetable Show a varied sports programme has been arranged, while competitions for the best decorated motor car, horse-drawn vehicle, decorated children's pet and decorated girl's sunshade, will bring forward a large number of entries. As all the proceeds are to be devoted to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund there is likely to be a large gathering present. The honorary secretary is Mr T. J. Corin and Mrs A. Muir is the honorary treasurer. Entries for the Flower Show close on Thursday.
